Embracing New Beginnings From Stressed to Happiness with a Buddhist Monk featuring Matthieu Ricard and Dr. Tania Singer with Alejandro De Grazia.

Happy Easter to everyone! This time of year is all about spring and new beginnings, births and rebirths, clearing out the old and making way for the new.

I hope you and your family are celebrating this season in whatever way is best for you. I hope your intentions in life are open to new possibilities that say yes to a new season of something unstoppable!

It is the beginning of a new quarter which means that it is a nice chance to revisit your Unstoppable Goals if you don’t have them, let me know and I can send you a new Quick Step Guide that I recently created.

Today I am doing a movie review because it fits the intention behind the spring season. The movie is From Stress to Happiness which I recently watched on Netflix.

It is a documentary that explores the journey to achieving happiness and well-being through the teachings of Matthieu Ricard. Matthieu is a well-known Buddhist monk, author, and speaker.

In the film, they say that Matthieu is known as the “happiest man in the world,” and he briefly talks to a talk show host about the science that measured him so that they could claim this to be true.

Credit is given to Dr. Tania Singer for her work as a social neuroscientist, psychologist, and world expert on empathy.

I think it is amazing that we are living during a time when science is figuring out a way to measure the intangible parts of well-being which technically makes the intangible tangible.

Matthieu Ricard shares his wisdom and insights on how to transform one’s life by managing stress, embracing mindfulness, and practicing meditation.

These things are rather difficult concepts to convey especially to someone that has no experience in going deep into peaceful practices like meditation and mindfulness.

One of my favorite parts in this film is when Matthieu and Alejandro De Grazia are walking through nature and Alejandro looks miserable. He talks as if he is stressed out. During his nature walks with Matthieu, he is complaining about the weather while it is raining. Matthieu appears to be in his bliss and he is about 20 feet away from Alejandro which implies that happiness has nothing to do with your environment.

It is such a juxtaposition that speaks to the title of the film From Stressed to Happiness. But the question is. Can Alejandro find happiness for himself? Does he really need to go to Patagonia to find it? Alejandro’s wife put together the trip and one of her intentions was to help her husband discover the benefits of Matthieu’s teaching on their family life.

The film delves into the science behind happiness and stress, revealing the impact of these emotions on our mental and physical health. It showcases Ricard’s personal experiences, as well as real-life stories of people who have benefited from his teachings.

The documentary combines interviews, scientific research, and practical advice to provide viewers with a comprehensive understanding of the path toward genuine happiness and inner peace.

From Stress to Happiness with Matthieu Ricard serves as an inspiring and thought-provoking guide for those seeking to overcome the challenges of modern life and achieve a more fulfilling, balanced existence.

This film speaks to the 3P’s of being an Everyday Heroine. The Peace Practice. Learn how important a peace practice is for finding that inner strength to achieve the Unstoppable!

Watch the film and let me know what you think!

What are some of your favorite Peace Practices that keep you feeling happiness and bliss?

For now, enjoy your adventures and journey responsibly!
