Bringing sophisticated justice to the civilized world requires career advancements and women’s empowerment.
Bringing sophisticated justice to the civilized world
Today we are talking about justice and the justice system. You may be thinking, this should have been the most logical place to start such a conversation, right?
But it’s really not… so let me do a quick review to step us through what is probably the most realistic way that these types of issues come to light. And explain why justice and the justice system are the most reasonable places to end the conversation on sexism, gender discrimination, and sexual harassment.
Innocence
As a civilized society member, there was a time in my younger days that my innocence ran wild with the idea that the justice system already brings pure and unadulterated justice to the entire world. I love to look back on my life and know that I was that naive at one point in time! There’s something to be said about innocence! I’m not sure what shattered my confidence in that wild idea at first but I eventually woke up from that dream and the innocence has completely faded away.
Maturity
Real stories can make us question how civilized our society is when things can go so terribly wrong for so long in bigger and bolder ways. I have no doubt that there will always be demons and criminals in the human world. It is an unfortunate part of human nature. My hope is that as a collective human society we can bring justice to the world both inside and outside of the justice system.
Justice Systems
In general, It’s nice to know that a justice system exists. I trust that most people don’t go around wishing for the opportunity to use it, unless you pursue law as a profession. Then, you must be aware of the obvious here. Law is not only a profession for individuals and a government system for civilized nations, but a justice system creates a revenue stream for law firms and attorneys. It creates an entire education system for higher education institutions and of course, another revenue stream.
A justice system creates status and integrity for a nation and the government that it represents. When you need to use an attorney to fight for justice, the only way that an attorney or law firm is able to continue to help you fight for justice is by making a profit out of that activity. Even pro bono cases are not completely free. Nothing in life is free.
Empowerment and Leadership
As we all work toward a brighter future, the only way we get there is to start with a conversation and then enter into the more difficult part of the process as we change our mindsets and behavior and stretch ourselves to a more sophisticated and evolved human being.
We have so much power within each and every one of us to solve the most difficult challenges in the world. I believe that living life to the fullest means that we take that on as a serious challenge to leave the world better than we found it.
Stories and Resources
I wrap up the beginning of a lengthy and complicated discussion on how to bring justice to a world where injustices like sexism, gender discrimination, and sexual harassment create a world of disempowerment.
